The good folks at Stone Table Software have been quite busy lately. Following on the heels of their recent release, Cobweb, they have not released a utility that allows users to easily convert RTF formatted text into Styled, or SimpleText format. RTF-to-Styled Text is especially useful for those using text processing programs that do not read the RTF format. According to Stone Table Software:

RTF-to-Styled Text is free utility which converts RTF files to styled text (SimpleText) format. This is useful for anyone using a word processor, such as Stone Table Softwareis Z-Write, which does not natively read RTF files. Styled text files can be read by most word processors and text editors, including Z-Write.
With RTF-to-Styled Textis batch conversion feature, multiple RTF files can be converted with one button click.
