New Version Of File Browser Released From Rage

Rage Software is now shipping a new version of Macintosh Explorer, bringing it to version 3.0. Macintosh Explorer is a file browser and management app designed to negate finder use. The new version features improved browser speed and OS X support. According to Rage Software:

Macintosh Explorer, the popular file browser and file management tool has been updated to version 3.0. Macintosh Explorer 3.0 is a full rewrite and offers many exciting new features and enhancements.

Macintosh Explorer is the advanced file browser and file management tool for the Mac. Like Windows Explorer, It offers a hierarchical overview of your files and folders on all mounted drives.

New in This Version:

  • Macintosh Explorer 3.0 is a full rewrite over version 2.1. It offers faster file browsing, additional file management tools as well enhancements to many of the file management tools found in previous versions
  • This new version also offers visual drag and drop feedback, additional customization options including removing unwanted navigation buttons and choosing to use large navigation buttons for a better Mac OS X experience
  • Most Importantly, Macintosh Explorer 3.0 now works natively on Mac OS X
  • Other minor issues were addressed in this release as well as additional features were added. Please see the Read Me file included with the download
