Avid Technology, Inc. on Tuesday said that the latest version of Media Composer, version 2.5, will be available on Wednesday. The update features HD format support, better real-time multi-cam, XDCAM HD support, motion tracking and stabilization with SteadyGlide, full-screen playback over DVI, and support for the Avid Interplay system, which will be available in the third quarter of this year.
Avid will host a Webcast on Wednesday, June 21, at 1:00 PM Eastern time, using that as an opportunity to showcase the new features.
Avid offers four different Media Composer configurations: the core setup (US$4,995); Media Composer with Avid Mojo SDI Digital Nonlinear Accelerator ($7,495); Media Composer Adrenaline ($19,995); and Media Composer Adrenaline with Avid DNxcel ($22,995).
