Other World Computing (OWC) has reduced the prices of its SuperDrive upgrade kits for Power Macs, iMacs, PowerBooks and eMacs to as low as US$44.99. The user-installable kits offer DVD burning as fast as 16X, while Dual-Layer DVDs can be burned at up to 8X speeds and CDs at up to 40X speeds.
The kits are compatible with Appleis iLife suite, DVD Studio Pro, Roxio Toast, EMC Retrospect, and other popular applications. They come with the required cables and mounting hardware as well as a selection of burning media, NTI DragonBurn 4.0 CD/DVD burning software, and/or EMC Retrospect Backup.
