Owners of New Intel Mac mini Report Bluetooth, AirPort Issues

Two threads on Appleis support forums, as well as a thread on MacInTouch, suggest that some owners of the new Intel Mac mini are experiencing poor AirPort reception as well as slow Bluetooth performance with a wireless keyboard and mouse. According to a MacInTouch reader, Apple has started an EFF (early field failure) analysis to capture and examine the problems.

TMO was alerted to the issues by a reader who said: "I myself am experiencing the very same issues with the Mac mini Core Duo I received yesterday, but have yet to report it to Apple. No such problems with an iBook in the same room using the same wireless and Bluetooth equipment."

TMO is unsure if this affects only computers with Core Duo processors, or if Mac mini machines with Core Solo processors are also experiencing the problems. We will update readers with more information as we receive it. Readers are encouraged to post their experiences below, both positive and negative, or send them to us.
