M-Audio on Thursday introduced Podcast Factory, a hardware and software bundle for creating high-quality podcasts. The kit includes a 2 x 2 mobile audio interface with microphone preamp, dual RCA output ports and an eighth-inch stereo headphone jack. It produces sound quality up to 24-bit/48kHz.
The included software includes audio recording and editing features, as well as the ability to upload finished MP3 files as RSS feeds. A broadcast-quality microphone is also part of the set.
Podcast Factory sells for US$179.95. System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.2.8, a G3/300MHz or G4/350MHz processor and 128MB RAM.
