ergonis software has released an update for PopChar X, bringing it to version 2.0.1. PopChar X is a keyboard utility designed for simplifying difficult keyboard character combinations. The maintenance update fixes a recently discovered crash bug. According to ergonis software:
ergonis software today announced the immediate availability of PopChar X 2.0.1, the Mac OS X sibling of the highly acclaimed PopChar Pro.
It installs a menu that shows all characters available in the current font. Any character can be inserted in the current document by simply selecting it from the menu. PopChar X is distributed by ergonis software as part of their macility software collection.
The new version is a maintenance update for the newly released version 2.0 which fixes a bug that could cause PopChar X to crash on some configurations.
Besides other new features and improvements, version 2.0 introduced automatic font detection in a couple of popular applications and localization.
