SearchWare Solutions has released an update for Pix Lite, bringing the QuickTime media viewer to version 1.1.6. The new version adds support for Mac OS X 10.1. According to SearchWare Solutions:

SearchWare Solutions is proud to announce the latest version of their Mac OS X native version of Pix Lite, their well-received QuickTime-based Media Viewer.

Functionally identical to Pix Lite 1.1 for the Classic Mac OS, Pix Lite 1.1.6 for Mac OS X is an easy to use application for viewing various types of QuickTime compatible media such as images and movies in a wide variety of formats. Users can, in many cases, use the software as a replacement for Appleis own media-viewing applications. Pix Lite also includes powerful slideshow and movie presentation functions as well as integrated AppleScript support.

Registered users of Pix Lite 1.x or Pix Lite 1.1.5 for Mac OS X can update to Pix Lite for Mac OS X 1.1.6 without cost by using their current serial numbers. Non-registered users can try the software for 30 days before registration becomes required.

WHATiS NEW SINCE PIX LITE FOR MAC OS X VERSION 1.1.5 This release makes Pix Lite for Mac OS X fully compatible with Appleis recently released Mac OS X 10.1. An issue where the toolbar would suddenly become blank has also been hopefully resolved.

You can find more information on Pix Lite at the companyis Web site. The update is free to registered owners. The full version is shareware and is priced at US$15.
