QuickerTek announced the immediate availability of a new AirPort signal boosting antenna for the 17-inch MacBook Pro on Monday. The company claims the 5.5dBi antenna more than doubles the range and signal strength compared to the MacBook Prois built-in antennas. It ships with mounting hardware, cables, brackets, utilities CD, and installation instructions.
The 5.5dBi antenna for the 17-inch MacBook Pro is available at the QuickerTek Web site, and is priced at US$100. If you arenit comfortable installing the antenna yourself, QuickerTek offers installation services, too.
