RE:Vision Updates Shake Versions of Twixtor, ReelSmart Motion Blur

RE:Vision Effects has released Twixtor 4.5 and ReelSmart Motion Blur (RSMB) 3.2, updates to the versions of the companyis tools for use with the visual effects application Shake. Both feature a rewritten motion estimation engine, resulting in better tracking of objects on the screen, as well as a new first frame setting for sequences that donit start with frame one. Twixtor 4.5 offers a more comprehensive update that includes floating point support, an option to remove motion blur when slowing footage, new Forward Warping and Inverse Warping with Smart Blending warp modes and Motion Vectors import and export modes.

RE:Vision did not note if Twixtor 4.5 is free for version 4.x users, but RSMB 3.2 is a free update for registered owners of version 3. The full version of Twixtor for Shake is US$795, with render-only licenses available for $198.75; render-only licenses only render Shake scripts created with a licensed version of Twixtor. Twixtor 3 users can update to the latest edition for $199, while render-only license upgrades are free.

Full versions of RSMB 3.2 are $189.95; upgrades from previous versions are $55. Render-only licenses, which operate the same way as Twixtor render-only licenses, are $53.99; render-only updates are free.
