Report: Apple Drops Justin "I'm a Mac" Long for Next Ads

Apple Computer has dropped Justin Long, the "Iim a Mac" actor in the "Get a Mac" commercials, for its next round of ads, according to an exclusive report by Radar. The publication said that Justin Longis management had confirmed that he will not be starring in future Apple commercials, and that more commercials featuring John Hodgman as the "Iim a PC" character are being produced.

"Every ad you see Justin in is for that previous time period only," Justin Longis representative told Radar. "Thereis no long-term deal with him. Justinis a movie star, not a commercial guy."

The article cited unnamed sources as saying that the original director of the spots, Phil Morrison, will be returning with Mr. Hodges to produce more commercials.

The article suggests that Mr. Longis character was unliked by many, and that this was why he will not be returning. That suggestion is merely speculation, however, and no sourceable reasons for his departure are being offered.
