Casady & Greene announces a maintenance release for Chaos Master version 1.2.1. Chaos Master is a file management utility that controls clutter and improves performance of your drive.
Chaos Master brings order to usersi hard disks by seamlessly combining fourteen disk and file management utilities in an easy-to-use and intuitive application. Chaos Master sports both a quick-check wizard for users who want a simple disk analysis, and an advanced mode for users who want to perform over a dozen file manipulation tasks, such as:
- Updating applications via VersionTracker.com
- Finding and fixing broken files and aliases
- Finding orphaned text files
- Cleaning up Internet cache files
- Slimming fat applications
- Uninstalling unwanted applications
Version 1.2.1 fixes compatibility with OS 8.1. and adds the ability for Chaos Master to implement proxy settings from the Internet Control Panel to allow searches via a Proxy Server. This will not support a SOCKS firewall because SOCKS proxies require authentication with special formatted commands.
