Rogue Amoeba Updates Apps With Tiger Support

Rogue Amoeba Software last week released updates to its audio utilities that offer compatibility with Mac OS X v10.4 "Tiger," which Apple will ship on April 29. The upgrades include the basic audio capture software Audio Hijack 2.2.1; Airfoil 1.0.5, which transmits any audio to an AirPort Express unit; Detour 1.5.3, which enables users to control specific audio streams; and the Internet radio station webcasting application Nicecast 1.7.3.

In addition, the new version of Airfoil adds such features as support for drag and drop, a "Start Transmit at Launch" preference and more. The Nicecast upgrade also offers the Silence Generator audio input device feature and the Application Mixer plug-in, as well as bug fixes.

MemoryCell, a free utility that monitors the amount of RAM used by all open applications, was also updated for Tiger with the release of version 2.0.1.
