R oxio announced Toast 7 Monday, delivering a number of new features to the disc authoring software while dropping the Titanium moniker from its name.
New features of Toast 7 include data-spanning, which allows users to backup large files and folders across multiple CDs and DVDs; extensive DivX support, including the new DivX 6 HD codec and easy conversion of DivX movies to DVD video or DV; OGG, FLAC, and AAC audio format support, in addition to MP3, WAV, and AIFF; and HD image slideshows. Toast 7 will be available August 31 for $99.95. A $20 rebate is being offered to previous Toast customers. Registered Toast owners should already have received an email from Roxio last week offering the opportunity to purchase the software now instead of wating until the end of the month.
