SmileOnMyMac announced that is has acquired Textpander on Monday. Textpander lets you create abbreviations for frequently used words and phrases. When you type the abbreviations, they automatically expand into the full word or phrase that they represent. SmileOnMyMac plans to update the application with some new features, and will rename it to TextExpander. No release date for the new version or pricing information has been announced yet.
