Southwest Airlines on Monday added Mac support to Ding!, its desktop utility for tracking airfares. The tool, which was first released last year in a Windows-only version, pushes airfare deals and other communications from the airline to the user, with new messages accompanied by the "ding" that is familiar to most air travelers.
The airline also made other changes to Ding!, including simplifying the "Referring a Friend" feature and eliminating the need to cut and past registration IDs.
From March 20 through April 3, members of Southwestis Rapid Rewards frequent flyer program will receive two bonus credits when they download Ding! and use it for a minimum of 30 days. Mac OS X v10.3.9 or higher is required to use the utility.
