By ignoring the problem, "the company risks further alienating customers," but by entering the market, "Microsoft faces a potential backlash from some of its allies," including Symantec, Inc. and McAfee Corp.
Microsoft has announced that it will enter the enterprise-level security market, and that it will bundle consumer-level anti-spyware software with Windows.
