THQ has started shipping The Incredibles: Rise of the Underminer, a new action game that picks up where the movie left off. At the end of Pixaris film The Incredibles, Mr. Incredible and his family had saved the world and solved their personal issues, only to be confronted by the arrival of the Underminer.
The credits started rolling there, but THQ and developer Heavy Iron Studios decided to start the new game at that moment, with Mr. Incredible and Frozone pursuing the Underminer deep into his underground lair, battling increasingly deadly robots along the way. An experience points system enables players to upgrade the superheroesi abilities; as they complete levels, they also unlock bonus content that goes behind the scenes of the making of the game.
Pricing was not released. The Incredibles: Rise of the Underminer requires Mac OS X v10.2.8, an 800MHz G4 processor, 256MB RAM and 32MB Video RAM.
