Time magazine named Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger its Gadget of the Week on Wednesday. The magazine praised Dashboard, and named five other features as noteworthy for its readers, serving to broaden Tiger awareness among Timeis mainstream readership.
The five features are:
- You can automatically look up words in the integrated dictionary as you surf.
- Itis got a standalone version of the Migration Assistant, which lets you move all of your programs and settings from one Mac to another.
- HD movies are coming to QuickTime.
- Album art can be your screensaver.
- VoiceOver will read all of your webpages (and other text documents) out loud.
