Want "Free" Aladdin Software? Click A Few Ads

Aladdin has announced that they have joined forces to bring versions of their software to users for only the cost of displaying a few advertisements. Aladdin has joined with Conducent to use their Flex PC technology. The Flex PC system allows dynamic content, including advertisements, to be displayed on a useris desktop. This new breed of software, dubbed "Adware", will bring a variety of applications to users that might not have otherwise been able to purchase those apps. According to Aladdin:

Aladdin Systems, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Aladdin Systems Holdings, Inc. (OTC BB: ALHI), and Conducent, Inc. today announced an agreement that will leverage Conducentis Flex PC technologies to benefit consumers by delivering advertising and dynamic content in FREE Aladdin software products. Aladdin products will take advantage of "Adware" in many of its products. When customers pay and register for their software the advertisements will terminate.

"Our goal is to make our software available to as many customers as possible in a way that fits their budget," said Mark Leitch, director of sales. "By implementing Conducentis Flex technology with our products we can offer our customers a new, low-cost model to use our software."

This initiative fits Conducentis strategy to partner with leading PC software companies who are looking for turnkey content delivery solutions, while providing advertisers with innovative desktop advertising opportunities.
