The first public beta of WebiToome has been relased by Black Diamond Products. WebiToome allows a user to receive files directly to your computer from your existing web page. According to the company:
WebiToome:

- can handle up to ten incoming transmissions simultaneously

- receives directly from the senderis computer - no intermediate storage on a central server is required

- features comprehensive logging
- automatically maintains the file submission part of your web page
- can be run unattended
- can be used to back up critical files for other people
No longer is it necessary to upload to a server for subsequent download, or to entrust your files to email. WebiToome does not replace your web host - it is not a web server but a file receiver that works in conjunction with your normal web host.
