WoodWing Software on Monday announced that Smart Catalog 4.0, the latest version of its solution for publishers of catalogs and brochures, adds support Adobe InDesign and InCopy CS2 in addition to several performance enhancements, including the introduction of XML and ODBC Database modules. The ODBC module enables users to link Smart Catalog with MySQL, FileMaker, Oracle and other databases while the XML module allows the creation of catalogs that grab attributes from XML files and link them to InDesign page elements.
Upgrades are US$399 while the full software is $999, or $2,499 for the Pro version. The ODBC and XML modules are $799 each.
