X86 Project Gets Windows Translator WINE Running on Intel iMac

The OSx86 Project has been able to get some Windows software running on an Intel iMac through WINE (WINE Is Not an Emulator), according to a post on the organizationis forum. As an article at Macworld UK notes, WINE doesnit require a copy of Windows to work -- it re-engineers Windows system calls to enable those applications to run in Mac OS X.

However, very few Windows applications run in Mac OS X through WINE right now. When another OSx86 Project forum member asked about games, the response was: "As for games...letis scale it back a bit...kay?"

Why run WinZip on an Intel iMac? Because you can.
