Rovio’s Angry Birds Seasons received yet another update adding new St. Patrick’s Day-themed levels. The busy little video game company also managed to bring in some US$42 million from investors that it plans to use to exploit Angry Birds in new ways.
The Angry Birds Seasons update includes 15 new St. Patrick’s Day-themed levels, two new golden eggs, and the ability to send St. Patrick’s Day cards to friends.

Rovio plans to use the $42 million investment to expand the Angry Birds brand into more markets. “This investment is very important, and right now we are in a very aggressive expansion mode to shape the company into an important entertainment media company,” Rovio co-founder Mikael Hed told the Wall Street Journal.
The company has already taken the game beyond the iPhone and iPad to Mac OS X as well as Google’s Android, and will be bringing the game to Facebook and gaming consoles soon, too. The company also signed a deal with 20th Century Fox to feature the Angry Birds characters in the animated movie “Rio.”
