Each performance will be live streamed and viewable on your Mac, Apple TV, iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. Just as Apple has done with its previous iTunes Festival events, concerts will be streamed in HD.

Eddy Cue, Apple's senior vice president of Internet Software and Services said,

The iTunes Festival in London has become an incredible way for Apple to share its love of music with our customers. We're excited about the incredible lineup of artists performing and SXSW is the perfect place to debut the first iTunes Festival in the US.

This marks the first time Apple has hosted an iTunes Festival event outside of London. Over 400 artists have performed at the London events, and over 430,000 people have attended. Online viewers hit "tens of millions," according to Apple.

Each concert will be hosted at ACL Live at the Moody Theater in Austin. Apple hasn't announced ticket information yet, but previous events have been free with tickets available through a lottery system.
