Apple announced on (Cyber) Monday that everything ordered from now until December 22nd, 2013, from the online Apple Store comes with free delivery. The company also posted a handy chart for when you'll need to order if you want to receive a new Mac, iPhone, iPad, iPhone, or accessory before Christmas.
For shipping, Apple's website said:
Free shipping on everything.
Or choose from expedited delivery options, including Next Business Day. And now you can buy online and pick up most orders within an hour at any Apple Retail Store.
In other words, expedited shipping costs more, at least for now. It's possible Apple will wave that when we get closer to Christmas, but for now, it's free shipping for regular ground shipping until December 22nd.
Apple's "Get your gifts in time for December 24th" chart is going to be useful for lots of folks. The company broke down Macs for standard configurations with dates, and custom configuration without dates. That means you'll have to check on a case by case basis. iPhones, iPads, and iPods are broken down by whether or not they're engraved.
