Apple Hires Security Company to Guard iPad Shipments

Apple is serious about keeping iPads out of customer’s hands before April 3rd, and has even gone so far as to hire a security company to guard iPad shipments until they are scheduled for delivery, according to Boy Genius Report.

Apparently the security company has guards stationed at UPS facilities around the clock to make sure that none of the iPad packages slip away into the night, and it seems likely that they’ll show up at Apple’s retail locations when iPad shipments arrive. Apple stationed guards at its own stores ahead of iPhone launches, too.

The iPad is scheduled to go on sale this Saturday, April 3rd. Customers that pre-orderd an iPad should expect a UPS delivery this Saturday, too.
