Apple is going to be taking over retail space currently operated by Abercrombie & Fitch and Brooks Brothers in Cool Springs, TN, according to a local newspaper. CoolSprings.com reported that both retail chains will be shutting down operations at the end of January in the local Galleria shopping mall, and that Apple will be moving in shortly thereafter.
According to the report, the new store will be 13,000 square feet, making it one of the larger Apple Store retail locations. The report also said that it was the mall that decided not to renew its lease with Abercrombie & Fitch in order to bring Apple in.
Unnamed sources said that Apple will officially take over the space in April for a September launch, but that this timetable may have been accelerated for an earlier opening.
Apple has not yet announced the store location, and local mall officials didn’t confirm the report, either.
