Apple to Unveil Revolutionary HUMANCENTiPAD on South Park

Trey Parker and Matt Stone have set their satirical sights on Apple, announcing that the 15th season of South Park will kick off April 27th (10:00 PM EDT) with a “revolutionary” new product from Steve Jobs and his company. Comedy Central put out a press release announcing that the cartoon would feature a new Apple product called “HUMANCENTiPAD,” complete with a Steve Jobs media event announcing the device.

“Kyle is intimately involved in the development of a revolutionary new product that is about to be launched by Apple,” the comedy network said in a statement. “Meanwhile, Cartman doesn’t even have a regular iPad yet. He blames his mother.”

South Park has built its reputation by skewering religion, politics, pop culture, technology, itself, and just about everything else under the sun. Many find the cartoon offensive, which stems in part from the creator’s unapologetic assault on its targets, as well as such features as a constant stream of profanity from the child characters in the show.

It seems a safe bet that the creators won’t be using kid gloves in their examination of Apple’s incredible success and the company’s products. Indeed, if you’re easily offended, you shouldn’t even watch the episode’s trailer (below).
