Apple’s Tim Cook to Open D: All Things Digital Conference

Apple CEO Tim Cook will give the opening presentation at the 10th annual D: All Things Digital Conference on Tuesday, May 29th. It will be his first appearance on stage at a non-Apple related event.

All Things D announced that Mr. Cook will represent Apple this year and provide his perspective on where the company and industry are going. While Cook has only been CEO since August, he has a long history with Apple as COO and before that with Compaq, Intelligent Electronics, and IBM.

In the past, Apple was represented by the late Steve Jobs at D. Mr. Jobs participated a total of 6 times, with his last appearance being in 2010.

Tim Cook will be joined by other speakers, including New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg, Oracle CEO Larry Ellison, Federal Trade Commission Chair Jon Leibowitz, and others, some yet to be announced. The D: All Things Digital Conference will be May 29-31 in Rancho Palos Verdes, California.
