AT&T mobile business CEO Ralph de la Vega says his company is working on family plans for wireless data, and that the new data plan option would be coming soon. His announcement comes as a change in AT&T’s earlier position where executives didn’t seem interested in the idea.
Mr. de la Vega revealed the company’s plans during an interview with CNET. “I’m very comfortable with the plan that will be offered to our customers,” he said.
Aside from saying shared data plans are coming, Mr. de la Vega didn’t offer up any details. There isn’t word yet on when AT&T will launch its shared data plan offering, so we could still be left waiting for months.
