John Carmack, one of the co-founders of id Software, told Joystiq that Mac support for the company's browser-based Quake Live is "pretty high on my priority list." The open Beta of the game went live earlier this week, but only Windows users were allowed to join the party.
Mr. Carmack said that an external contractor is working on the project, which includes Linux support. The Windows version works with Internet Explorer and Firefox, but no indication was given about Safari support. Marty Stratton, Quake Live's producer, told Joystiq that Google's Chrome web browser "does actually work ... with some glitchiness."
More as we know it. And thanks to Inside Mac Games for the heads-up.
