Pre-orders for Apple's new iPhone SE are off to a brisk start with sales already topping 3.4 million units in China. Interest in the U.S. is high, too with pre-orders showing delays only hours after Apple started sales on March 24.
Turns out the iPhone SE is pretty popular
The most popular colors in China are gold and then rose gold, according to CNBC. Word of the new iPhone model's popularity in China comes from local retailers.
In the U.S., deliveries for all colors have been pushed out from March 31 to April 11 at the earliest.
The iPhone SE has a 4-inch Retina Display, A9 processor, Touch ID and Apple Pay, and a 12 megapixel iSight camera. It's available in Space Gray, silver, gold, and rose gold for US$399 for 16GB and $499 for 64GB.
If you want an iPhone SE on March 31, but didn't pre-order early, it looks like your best bet now is to wait in line this Thursday, March 31.
