TMO Contributing Editor Chuck La Tournous will be on hand at tonight's New Jersey Mac Users Group meeting to deliver his "Tech vs. Wild" presentation. "From how to turn your iPhone into a Swiss Army knife and full featured GPS receiver, purify water with a beam of light, and charge your gear with using the sun or fire, Chuck will talk about all the gear you can take with you to enhance your next camping trip," according to the NJMUG website.
The meeting starts at 7 p.m. and Chuck's presentation is scheduled to start at 8. NJMUG meets on the second Tuesday night of each month at the Clifton Public Library in Clifton, NJ.
Founded in 1984, NJMUG is the Garden State's flagship Macintosh Users Group with members throughout New Jersey. Also on hand for tonight's meeting is Jerry Glacken who will give a demonstration on how to encrypt and secure your email communications using GPG, and Louis Perez with another installment of his ongoing "Magical Mystery Tour of the Web" which showcases a collection of interesting Web sites related to a particular topic. This month's "tour" will focus on the "Top Podcast Web sites."
