Native Instruments announced Monday the release of TRAKTOR PRO to version 1.2, an update that adds new features for the DJ mixing solution for the Mac. The new version includes many new features and improvements, despite its .1 designation.
According to Native Instruments, the number of independent effect sections has been doubled from two to four, allowing users to assign different multi-FX configurations to each of the four full-featured decks. The company also expanded the effect types in TRAKTOR PRO with the addition of Formant Filter, Peak Filter and Beat Slicer.
Other new features include support for the latest version of Z-Plane Elastique timestretching, support for the Pioneer CDJ-400 and Denon HC-4500 controller hardware, and the company said it's the first and only DJ software platform that offers user-customizable HID controller assignments.
Lastly, the update includes enhanced cue point handling, a new deck caching technology with reduced memory footprint, and improved MIDI control features.
The update is free to registered owners of TRAKTOR PRO, and can be downloaded from Native Instrument's Web site. The full version is priced at US$229 (€199).
