Dropbox Doubles Pro Storage, Adds 500GB Option

Dropbox announced on Tuesday an increase in the storage that comes with the company’s Pro plan. The company currently offers Pro 50 and Pro 100 plans that give users 50GB and 100GB of online storage, but both plans will double the storage (100GB and 200GB) for the same price. The company is also adding a 500GB Pro option.

Dropbox Double

Dropbox is an online storage solution that automatically syncs data between your Macs, PCs, iOS devices, and Android devices. Put a file in your Dropbox folder on your PC at work and it is automatically pushed out to your Mac at home and available to your iPhone and iPad, too.

The company’s entry level service is free, and includes 2GB of storage, plus an extra 500MB for every referral, Speaking of which, if you haven’t signed up for Dropbox yet, use this reporter’s referral link, because he wants MOAR!

The Pro plans are aimed at people who want or need far more space, especially those needing to juggle large files for work.

The Pro 50 plan is priced at US$9.99 per month or $99 per year, while the Pro 100 plan is $19.99 per month or $199 per year. Pro plan customers also get 1GB of additional space for each referral. Those prices will stay the same, but will presumably be called Pro 100 and Pro 200. Pricing for Pro 500 hasn’t yet been announced.

The company also noted that existing customer don’t have to do anything to take advantage of the new storage options. Your space will simply be doubled on their end.
