Version 4 includes a Snippet view that shows more information about each note in a list, the ability to browse images attached to notes, and support for browsing the attachments attached to notes. It also lets users find notes by tags, offers quick access to saved searches, supports attaching multiple images and recordings to individual notes, can record up to 90 minutes of audio in notes, supports adding text and photos to notes while recording audio, lets users modify location data for notes, and more.

The Evernote app requires an Evernote account. Accounts are available for free or monthly fees, and the Evernote app is available at Apple’s iTunes-based App Store.
