Harry Potter Comes to Apple’s iBook Store with Enhanced Editions

| Product News

If you've ever thought the Harry Potter series was great, but still needed a little something more, Apple has you covered with the new digital editions of the books. Apple is calling the just released digital books "enhanced" thanks to their new artwork, interactive animations, and new annotations written by series author J.K. Rowling.

Ms. Rowling was pretty excited about the new  Harry Potter editions saying, "I'm thrilled to see the Harry Potter books so beautifully realised on iBooks for the digital world; the artwork and animations in these enhanced editions bring the stories alive in a delightful new way."

Apple also said this is the first time ebook versions of Harry Potter have been available outside of Ms. Rowling's own online Pottermore Shop, which isn't quite right. When the Pottermore Store first started selling ebook versions of the series, Ms. Rowling also had deals with Amazon for Kindle versions and Barnes & Noble for the Nook ebook reader.

The enhanced Harry Potter ebooks are available now in English for US$9.99 each. Spanish, French, and German versions will be available starting on November 9.

I bought the first book again (the only version I don’t have is a paper-book).
It’s all nice. Except I can’t find her annotations. Skimmed the whole book, nada.
