During Apple's live event on Tuesday, Apple announced that U2's latest album, Songs Of Innocence, is not only exclusive to the iTunes store until October 13, but it is also free to every iTunes customer. If you are not an iTunes customer, now is an excellent time to sign up. If you are already a customer, here's how to download the album in iTunes on Mac OS or Windows:
First, launch iTunes and look for "Purchased" on the right hand side, under Quick Links:
Purchased option under Quick Links in iTunes.
Once you click on the Purchased link, you'll see…well, what you've purchased from iTunes. But also you'll see that new album sitting there waiting for you. If you click on it, Songs of Innocence will start downloading and be available in your iTunes library:

ON iOS, there is a U2 banner at the top of the iTunes Store:
iTunes Banner for U2’s Songs of Innocence.
Tapping the banner brings you to the page for the album. From there, tap the 'Free' button, then 'Get Album', and verify your password (if you have that option enabled). It should download just like any other purchase from iTunes.

NOTE: If you are not on wifi, downloading an entire album will count against your data limit, so proceed with caution if your plan is not unlimited.
