Apple's iPad Air and Retina Display iPad mini will come to NTT DoCoMo, Japan's largest cell service provider, on June 10. Apple said users will be able to use the carrier's LTE service for faster wireless data connections, just as they can do with the iPhone.

NTT DoCoMo was a late comer to the Apple game. The carrier finally started offering the iPhone last September, and has about 60 million customers. Adding those potential buyers to the mix is good news for Apple, but won't have the same impact as the country's other carriers KDDI and Softbank with a combined subscriber base that tops 890 million.
Customers will be able to preorder their new iPad Air or iPad mini starting on June 2, and the company will have new service plans ready in time for the launch.
