Jump 1.0 for Mac Replaces or Augments Dock

app4mac released Jump 1.0 for Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard on Tuesday. Jump 1.0 is a utility that lets users access their Applications, Documents and Folders quickly.

Jump 1.0 can be used in conjunction with the Apple Dock or as its replacement. When installed, a Jump 1.0 icon rests in the corner of the screen, allowing users to click to activate the app. A palette opens onto the screen, and favorite applications can be added with a drag and drop.

Jump 1.0 is the commercial version of RapidoStart, a discontinued freeware. Jump is available for US$12 at the app4mac Web site.

app4mac also released Projector 1.0 in beta release on Tuesday. Projector is a project management application designed to keep track of tasks and calculate a project's cost. Projector 1.0 can be used for managing large construction projects, media activities and detailed time schedules.

Though it is in beta, the company is offering it for €49 (US$65). The final version of Projector 1.0 is planned for release on April 24, 2009. This product replaces an earlier application named xTime Project, which has been discontinued.
