Microsoft released Office 2004 for Mac 11.6 and Office 2008 for Mac 12.2.6 on Tuesday with fixes for security-related issues. The updates patch security flaws that could allow an attacker to overwrite your Mac’s memory with malicious code.
The updates also include stability and compatibility improvements.
Along with the Office security updates, Microsoft released an update for Entourage 2008 Web Services Edition that added the ability to sync notes, tasks and categories with Exchange Server, and added support for diagnostic logging.
Microsoft also released Open XML File Format Converter for Mac 1.1.6. The utility lets users with earlier versions of the Office suite open documents from Office 2007 for Windows and 2008 for Mac.
