Apple released OS X Mountain Lion version 10.8.1 Thursday morning with fixes for iMessages issues, Microsoft Exchange compatibility, and Migration Assistant stability issues.
Mountain Lion 10.8.1 addresses several OS issues
The Mountain Lion 10.8.1 update also corrected a problem with playing audio through a Thunderbolt display, fixed SMB server connection issues, fixed a problem where Safari could fail to launch when using Proxy Automatic Configuration (PAC) files, improved wireless network authentication when using Active Directory credentials, and fixed an issue where the system could stop responding when using Pinyin input.
Mountain Lion is priced at US$19.99 and is available through Apple’s Mac App Store. The 10.8.1 update is free and available via the Software Update option in OS X’s App Store app.
