Netflix Adds Post-Play Feature to Apple TV

Netflix's Post-Play feature arrived on Apple TV on Monday without any fanfare, making it even easier to stay on the couch and watch your favorite shows. Post-Play automatically starts the next episode in a series a few seconds after the one you're currently watching wraps up.

The Post-Play feature has been popular with binge-watchers, but until Monday wasn't available on Apple TV. The feature is enabled by default, but can be shut off by changing your account settings at the Netflix website.

If you aren't into Post-Play, here's how to disable it:

  • Go to the Netflix website and login to your account.
  • Choose Your Account from the drop down menu showing your account name.
  • Choose Playback settings from the Your Profile section.
  • Uncheck Play next episode automatically.

It's far too easy to keep watching shows with Post-Play enabled, so you better have a comfy couch.

Not to mention that it’s a dangerous feature when you tell your 4 year old that he has to go to bed after ONE episode of Daniel Tiger and you aren’t paying attention and he ends up watching three. smile
