New iWork for iCloud only Hours Away

Get ready for new software announcements at Apple's Tuesday media event. The iWork for iCloud website added a warning this morning that Apple is currently updating the iCloud versions of Pages, Keynote, and Numbers with what the company is calling "great new features."

Apple isn't saying exactly what those features will be, and there isn't any word on whether or not the Web-based versions of the apps will be accompanied by updates for their Mac or iOS counterparts.

The Mac, iPhone, and iPad maker is hosting a special media event at the Yerba Buena Center in San Francisco at 10AM pacific time where it is expected to introduce updated 9.7-inch and 7.9-inch iPad models, new MacBook Pros, the new Mac Pro, and OS X Mavericks.

Getting Web app updates for the iWork suite is nice, but it would be great to also see native app updates for the Mac versions, too. It's 2013, and we're still sitting on iWork '09. It's time for an update.



Yeah. I’m with you spin. While I love iWork and use it all the time, it hasn’t received a significant update in years.
