OmniOutliner 4 goes Mavericks-only, gets New Interface

OmniGroup released OmniOutliner 4 for the Mac on Wednesday, nine years after OmniOutliner 3 shipped. The new version of the outlining powerhouse app sports a redesigned and more modern user interface, theme styles, a new resource browser, and requires OS X 10.9 Mavericks.

The redesigned interface includes a new sidebar, streamlined inspectors, easier to use Styles, text zooming, Smart Matching when typing in pop-up lists, date parsing, and more. The new Theme Style browser lets you change the look of your outline by just selecting a new style, OmniPresence file syncing, and it supports importing and exporting several file formats.

The Pro version offers more export formats, the ability to hide columns, folded editing for viewing just the line you're currently working with, AppleScript support, more control over styles, support for creating and installing extra file export plug-ins, and a section list for fast outline overviews.

OmniOutliner 4 is priced at US$49.99 for the standard version and $99.99 for the Pro version. It's available through the OmniGroup website and the Mac App Store. Upgrades through the company's website start at $24.99, and everyone who purchased OmniOutliner 3 through the Mac App Store will get a free upgrade to version 4.
