OS X 10.8.2 Adds System-wide Facebook Support, More

OS X 10.8.2 Adds system-wide Facebook support & moreWithin minutes of Apple releasing iOS 6 for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, the company dropped OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.2 in our laps, too. The update for Lion added single sign on support for Facebook, along with Power Nap support for the late 2010 model MacBook Air.

System-wide Facebook support, or single sign on support, was promised as a Lion feature, but until now has been missing. The feature lets users share links and photos from many apps, adds Facebook info to Contacts, and brings Facebook notifications to Notification Center.

The 10.8.2 update also added support for showing iMessages sent to your phone number in the Messages app, added a shared list to Reminders, support for accepting FaceTime calls sent to your phone number, fixed several bugs, and more.

OS X 10.8.2 is a free update for Lion users and is available via Software Update.
