Pebble has something new up—or at the end of—its sleeve, and it's going to be unveiled on March 24. The smartwatch maker is now teasing the announcement with a countdown timer on its website, presumably for a new model that will roll out ahead of Apple's planned April release for the Apple Watch.
Pebble teases big announcement for next Tuesday
Pebble is known for its self-named smartwatch that connects wirelessly to your iPhone to show alerts for incoming calls, text messages, and email messages, plus it logs your daily steps like a fitness tracker. Its seven-day battery life has proven popular, too, considering some competitors haven't been able to stretch time between charges beyond more than a couple days.
Considering Apple Watch is set to ship in April, it's likely Pebble will be announcing a new model designed to better compete with Apple's offering. Features Pebble will likely go for include a color display, a body redesign that's sleeker, and more fitness tracking options.
Pebble isn't offering up any hints as to what it will announce, so we'll have to wait until Tuesday morning for the company's reveal.
