Pixelmator for the iPad, first shown off during Apple's iPad Air 2 launch event earlier this month, hit the App Store Thursday morning. The image and photo editor has been available on the Mac for some time, but until now hasn't been an option on the iPad.
Pixelmator comes to the iPad
The iPad version of Pixelmator includes many Photoshop-like features for enhancing photos, filters and effects, brushes, layers, non-destructive layer styles, pixel-accurate layout tools, and more. It also supports iCloud Drive, Handoff, Document Picker, and includes a Photos extension.
Pixelmator supports JPG and PNG images, as well as Photoshop files with layers, and its own file format on the Mac.
Pixelmator is priced at US$4.99 and is available at Apple's iTunes-based App Store.
