A woman who lost her iPod on NYC subway tracks was killed trying to get it back, according to 19 Action News.

On Saturday afternoon the 21-year-old woman dropped her iPod near the tracks and was leaning over the platform attempting to retrieve it when the train arrived, hitting her. A few minutes later she was pronounced dead at the scene.

So far her name has not been released.

Please oh please oh please don't do this. I know replacing an iPod isn't cheap but replacing you is impossible. So if your device falls over an edge and retrieving it will endanger your life, take a deep breath and let it go. I promise, we'll all be better off.
